NUTRITIONAL COUNSELING
Diet and nutritional support is a founding pillar of naturopathic medicine. All our naturopaths are well-trained in supporting our patients to make appropriate dietary supplement changes. We use our knowledge of biochemistry, lab work, and relevant research to guide our recommendations.

LIFESTYLE MANAGEMENT
Stress management, proper sleep and exercise are foundational to our wellness. All of our naturopaths offer realistic, sustainable options for modifying these pillars to ensure you are reaching your state of optimal wellness.

ACUPUNCTURE
All of our Naturopaths offer acupuncture. This therapy can be used for muscle tension and pain, stress management, hormonal concerns, or to improve digestive function. These tiny needles are typically painless and can offer benefits—sometimes after the first treatment.

WOMEN’S HEALTH
Fertility, Pre- and Post-natal Support - Through the use of acupuncture, herbals, stress management, and other techniques, we love supporting new and growing families.
Well Woman Visits - These visits are centred around a PAP and breast exam. We use sheets, not paper, as well as educate our patients so that they feel empowered and in-control during their visit.
Hormone Therapy - Through a variety of tools, including hormonal testing, stress management, herbals, and acupuncture, we are equipped to treat symptoms associated with menstrual cycles and menopause.

TESTING and B12 INJECTIONS
As part of your overall assessment, your ND may recommend testing to help confirm or guide your treatment plan. For a list of common tests that we offer, please see this page.
B12 injections are 100% absorb-able, and can improve fatigue, high stress, poor concentration, or other issues associated with a deficiency.

INFANT AND PEDIATRIC CARE
Getting your child’s health started off on the right foot can be challenging. We are comfortable seeing children, aged anywhere from infant to teenager, and offer a space that is conducive for families and children.

IV TREATMENTS
IV therapy can be a great treatment option. When you are suffering from chronic illness, digestive concerns, poor immune recovery, or stress, IV therapy is a great way to boost your system quickly. Due to the unique delivery of solutions with IV therapy, it has many benefits—including 100% availability of nutrients and enhanced absorption.

Osteopathy is a profession that uses manual assessment and treatment to impact the body’s structure and improve its function. Osteopaths use their knowledge of physiology and anatomy to assess what is out of order and then realign it using manual therapy.

OSTEOPATHIC PRINCIPLES
Osteopathic Manual Therapy follows the theory that imbalances in the human structure are connected to the progression of disease. Because our bodies self-regulate and self-heal, osteopaths work with the body’s natural capacities to help remove obstructions in order to restore proper function and drainage of the body’s tissues. Osteopathic manual therapists view the body as a holistic, connected system. When one aspect of the system is off, the entire system can be affected and suffer. Treatments work to align body mechanics, nerve impulses, and the circulation of body fluids in order to restore one to optimal health.

WHAT TREATMENT LOOKS LIKE
Osteopathy is a hands-on gentle manual therapy that seeks to remove obstructions and imbalances in the body. There is no thrusting of joints. Through stretching, compressing, and oscillating of joints, muscles, and soft tissues, the osteopath returns proper motion and function to the body. Pain and discomfort are kept to a minimum, and patients are often asked to breathe deeply during these periods to aid treatment outcomes.

WHEN TO SEE AN OSTEOPATH
Below is a small list of conditions that can be improved with Osteopathic care:
• Back pain, disc bulge, postural imbalances
• Joint pain
• Tingling, pain or weakness down arms or legs
• Hip and shoulder pain, including Sciatica and frozen shoulder
• Sports injuries
• Strains and sprains
• Constipation, bloating, and diarrhea
• Headaches and migraines
• Painful periods
• Ovarian cysts, painful scar tissue
• Whiplash
• TMJ and jaw-related pain
• Muscle tension and spasm
• Chronic fatigue syndromes (Fibromyalgia, etc.)
• and more…

Ayurvedic medicine is best suited for individuals seeking lifestyle support for physical and mental imbalances or those looking to further enhance their current well-being through a complete analysis of their constitution at birth and any present imbalanced qualities.
Kanchan’s scope of practice includes dietary and lifestyle recommendations as well as holistic counselling that takes into consideration a patient’s unique nature, disease, and medicine. These therapies are applied to best restore a patient’s energetic balance and support the body’s natural healing capabilities.

Taylor was introduced to the practice of osteopathy after dealing with years of occupational back pain and no relief from any other modalities. She only started to see results when she found an Osteopathic Manual Practitioner who searched for the root cause of her problems, rather than just treating her symptoms. She knew almost immediately that this was the career path she had been searching for.

Taylor is a graduate of the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy and a member of the Ontario Osteopathic Association. Prior to her osteopathic education, Taylor earned her Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Wilfrid Laurier University. Her educational background has allowed her to combine her skills in logic and reasoning with an in-depth knowledge of functional anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, assessment and mechanical principles.

Taylor’s approach to treatment is always unique to her patient’s specific needs and lifestyle. Through gentle adjustment of the body, Taylor will work to stabilize the structure, balance the body and remove obstructions that restrict the flow of nerves, arteries, veins and lymphatics. Only when the body is balanced, and structures are adjusted to normal, can we begin to facilitate the self-healing, self-regulating mechanisms of the body.

Please contact her or book an appointment to learn more about what Osteopathy can do to improve your health and wellness!

Verity is a graduate of the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy, a member of the Ontario Osteopathic Association (OOA) and has continued her education to include Osteopathic treatment of infants. Given half a chance, she could happily talk about Osteopathy all day long, but would much prefer that people experience it for themselves. Her approach to treatment is centered around removing the root cause of dysfunction, and helping patients of all ages rediscover their optimal health.

Just like it’s impossible to touch a single thread of a spider’s web without affecting the whole thing, her experience receiving Osteopathic treatments taught her that sometimes the areas of the body where pain or discomfort are felt are just the effect of dysfunction in a completely different area. She also discovered that Osteopathy was not a form of wizardry, but a way of thinking about the body and how the parts relate to each other structurally.

In her spare time, she enjoys hiking and mountain biking with her family or reading a book in the sunshine. She’s also been known to optimistically take on physical activities like mud runs that leave her wondering whose terrible idea it was to begin with (always hers!).

Upon graduating from Wilfrid Laurier University with a Bachelor of Arts in Honours Communication Studies, she observed the prevalence of disease (dis-ease) and distress in others around her in both body and mind, sparking her curiosity about ancient philosophy and food medicine. Her question: “What practices have humans followed in ancient times to live a very long, healthy, and balanced life?” led her to the path of Ayur-Veda, which translates to “the science of life.”
